What is odlay services?

Odlay Services is a mobile platform developed by Aricrypta Oy Finland. The purpose of the platform is to enable customers to connect with independent Service Providers, experts & professionals for various services, tasks, jobs and projects. Customers can directly contact the Service Providers or post their needs and get offers from various Service Providers.

The app allows the customers to find local experts & service providers enables them to contact through chat or call. The app also takes care of the payment processing and only releases the payment to the Service Provider when the job is done according to agreed terms & rate

With a simple & modern mobile interface, Odlay Services makes it easy for you to find the needed Service Providers in your area.

What services I may be able to find on Odlay Services

The purpose of the app is quite broad. Eventually,  we would like you to be able to find almost any kind of service that is legally permitted by local and international laws. However, it’s new platform  and we are on-boarding as many Service Providers as possible

At the moment, you can try searching for plumbers, carpenters, movers, cleaners, painters, babysitters, handymen, bookkeepers and others.

How does Odlay Services work for customers?

  • Install Odlay Services mobile app and register your profile.
  • Post your need or job and start getting offers from multiple service providers
  • Award the job to your preferred Service Provider
  • Approve the job upon completion & release payment to the Service Provider

How am I matched with the needed Service Providers?

There are multiple ways that you can connect with the Service Providers.

  • Use the Search feature to find the right Service Provider, chat with them, agree with the terms of the job and hire them directly.
  • Post your job and wait for Service Providers to send their offers to you
  • View the list of recommended Service Providers on your job & invite them to your job or speak to them directly

You can also view the fixed price services of the Service Providers and hire the Service Provider according to the fixed price services.

How does Odlay Services work for Service Providers?

  • Install Odlay Services mobile app and register your profile.
  • Update your profile with your skills and business information.
  • Start sending offers to the relevant jobs with your rate & detail

  • Get direct requests from customers who wants to get your Services.
  • If the customers and you agree on the terms and rate, the you get hired
  • Finish the job and mark the job finished in the app.
  • If the job is complete according to the terms then customer approves & releases the payment of the job.
  • Get weekly payments for the earned amount to your account.

In what ways can a Service Providers get jobs on Odlay Services

There are multiple ways in which Odlay Services enables the Service Providers to get jobs from the customers.

  • Use the Search feature to explore the jobs of interest and apply to them.
  • Customers approaches the Service Provider directly on their profile & through chat/call feature.
  • Create fixed price service on your profile which becomes searchable on Odlay Services. If your features service matches the customer needs then they hire you for the fixed price service. Some examples include Dishwasher installation for €50, Moving Service for €40/h, babysitter service for €15/h. These are only examples and do not reflect the actual price.

Do the Service Providers work independently on Odlay Services platform?

Yes, the Service Providers are independent contractors and are not employed by Aricrypta Oy or the Odlay Services platform. Odlay Services platform only enables the Service Providers to match with the needs of the customers and facilitates in processing of the payment for the job.

When a customer awards the job to the Service Provider then a contract is formed directly between the Service Provider and the customer. Odlay Services is not a party to this contract.

What are the recommendations for choosing a Service Provider?

Odlay Services platform connects you with multiple Services providers and matches you with the relevant Service Providers according to your needs. You should treat these Service Providers as you would do normally if you visited their working or business place or met them otherwise.

The deal/contract is always between you and the Service Provider so chose the Service Provider carefully. You should use your own judgement and sense when choosing a Service Provider. However, Odlay Services provides some recommendations here.

  • Check the reviews and job history of the Service Provider if it is available.
  • If the job requires any qualification, permits or licenses then please ensure with the Service Provider that he meets all the requirements.
  • Always try to see if you can find a nearest available Service Provider with decent ratings. Working with a closer Service Provider is always easy to reach out .
  • Hire the Service Provider through the Odlay Services platform only and don’t take the communication outside the platform.
  • Pay for all the tasks and jobs through Odlay Services platform . This way, you can only permit the release of the payment to the Service Provider when the job is satisfactorily completed.
  • Make sure that you are clear about the details, scope and terms and conditions of the job. Clearly communicate and agree through the chat and description of the job. Send all the attachment (if any) through Odlay Services platform only. Make sure that you are absolutely clear about what you need before awarding the job. This way, you can ensure that the job is completed on your terms.
  • Do not make any payments outside Odlay Services. If the scope of the job changes and you need to pay more, create a new job for the Service Provider and award it to him.

Does Odlay Services platform supervise the progress of the job?

Aricrypta does not oversee, supervise, or monitor the scope, description, detail, pricing, status, progress, or performance of the contract, job, task, or project between the customer and service provider. Aricrypta provides the detail of the status updated by the Service Provider and Customers, but Aricrypta does not take the responsibility for any monitoring, tracking, or supervising of the actual status of the job

Customers and Service Providers are responsible for identifying and obtaining any required licenses, permits, or registrations before undertaking tasks, jobs, or projects. Certain types of jobs and services may be prohibited altogether, and it is each Customer’s and the Service Provider’s responsibility to avoid such prohibited activities, jobs, and services. Penalties may include fines, legal proceedings, or other enforcement. If you have questions about the local laws and regulations about your jobs and services on the Odlay Services Platform, you should seek legal advice from local attorneys.

Is there an Odlay Services platform fee for the Service Provider?

Yes, there is a 10%-20% service provide fee that is charged to the Service Provider when he completes a job and receives a payment from the customer through the Odlay Services platform. This fee is calculated according to the nature of the job and total amount charged to the customer. The calculation also takes the last 30 day’s earned amount. The more amount the Service Provider earns, the less the service fee becomes and the Service Provider platform fee drops.

This amount is only chargeable if the service provider completes a job through the Odlay Services platform.  The amount will be deducted when the Service Provider received his fee for his services through Odlay Services platform.

You will see the service fee when you are submitting your rate to the customer.  When submitting your offer, you will clearly see the service fee and your receivable amount. For example, when you enter a €100 in your offer to the job and if the service fee for your job tier is 15 euro then you will see

Odlay Fee: €15

Your receivable amount: €85.

This is just an example. The actual service fee will be shown to you on the screen when you submit the offer.

Is there a service fee for the customer.

Depending upon the nature of the job, a customer might be charged a platform fee of 0% -6% on the top of the rate submitted by the Service Provider. This fee will only be charged if the customer obtains the Service of the Service Provider by awarding the job to the Service Provider.

A customer will be able to see the service fee along with the offer amount submitted by the Service Provider. This amount will be charged after the customer awards a job to the service provider.

Is there a subscription or membership fee to use the Odlay Services platform?

No, there is no subscription or membership fee to use the Odlay Services platform.

A platform service fee is only charged when a task is completed through the Odlay Services platform.

Cancellation policy for the Service Provider

Canceling a job often turns into a bad experience for our users. Therefore, it is highly discouraged for the Service Provider to cancel a job without solid grounds. If the Service Provider has to cancel a job due to unavoidable circumstances, then it is highly recommended to inform the customer well in advance.

Depending upon the reason of the cancellation, how soon is the customer informed and the impact of the cancellation on the customer, the cancellation could lead into bad feedback, suspension, or termination of the Service Provider’s account. We will also take into account the frequency of cancelled job within an year and the feedback by the customers to the Service Providers.

Odlay Services platform goal is to provide a reliable, smooth and enjoyable experience to our users. Therefore, we advise the Service Providers to avoid job cencellation in order to have an uninterrupted access to the Odlay Services platform

When a Service Provider cancels a job then the Customer gets a full refund for his amount (including the platform fees).

 

Cancellation Policy for the customers

Odlay Servcies platform is designed to provide maximum flexibility to our users. However, we have designed rules in order to provide a smooth, reliable and consistent experience to our users.  It takes planning, scheduling and management for a Service Provider book time for the customer’s tasks

While we understand that schedules can change quickly and there can be times when cancelling or rescheduling a job can be unavoidable, it costs the Service Providers valuable time to cancel the job on short notice periods.

When a customer cancels a job after it has been awarded then the Odlay Services platform will decide about a refund of the job amount. Not all scenarios are eligible for a refund and they are all explained below.

  • The general formula for refund is:  Paid amount – customer platform fee – job cancellation fee.
  • When the customer cancels the job before twenty-four(24) from the start of the job, Then the cancellation fee is 10% of the Service Provider bid amount. The upper limit for the cancellation fee is 30 euros in this case.
    • Example: Service Provider’s bid amount was 100 euros. The customer pays 105 euros (100 euro bid amount plus 5 euro customer platform fee)
      • Customer platform fee is 5% so for the 100 euros bid amount, the customer platform fee is 5 euros.
      • Cancellation fee is 10% of the bid amount which is 10 euro
      • Refund amount is 105 – 5- 10 = 90
    • Example: Service Provider’s bid amount was 400 euros. The customer pays 420 euros (400 euro bid amount plus 20 euro customer platform fee)
      • Customer platform fee is 5% so the customer platform fee is 20 euros.
      • Cancellation fee is 10% of the bid amount which becomes 40 euros in this case. However, the upper limit is 30 euros for this cancellation, so we use 30 euros
      • Refund amount is 420 – 20- 30 = 370 euros
    •  
  • The customer cancels the job within twenty-four hours but at least three hours before the start of the job then the cancellation fee is 30% of the bid amount. The upper limit, in this case, is 60 euros.
    • Example: Service Provider’s bid amount was 100 euros. The customer pays 105 euros (100 euro bid amount plus 5 euro customer platform fee)
      • Customer platform fee is 5% so for the 100 euros bid amount, the customer platform fee is 5 euros.
      • Cancellation fee is 30% of the bid amount which is 30 euro
      • Refund amount is 105 – 5 – 30 = 70
    • Example: Service Provider’s bid amount was 400 euros. The customer pays 420 euros (400 euro bid amount plus 20 euro customer platform fee)
      • Customer platform fee is 5% so the customer platform fee is 20 euros.
      • Cancellation fee is 30% of the bid amount which becomes 120 euros in this case. However, the upper limit is 60 euros for this cancellation so we deduct 60 euros
      • Refund amount is 420 – 20- 60 = 340 euros
    • The customer cancels the job three hours – a few minutes before the start of the job then the cancellation fee is 50% of the bid amount. The upper limit, in this case, is 150 euros.
      • Example: Service Provider’s bid amount was 100 euros. The customer pays 105 euros (100 euro bid amount plus 5 euro customer platform fee)
        • Customer platform fee is 5% so for the 100 euros bid amount, the customer platform fee is 5 euros.
        • Cancellation fee is 50% of the bid amount which is 50 euro
        • Refund amount is 105 – 5 – 50 = 45
      • Example: Service Provider’s bid amount was 400 euros. The customer pays 420 euros (400 euro bid amount plus 20 euro customer platform fee)
        • Customer platform fee is 5% so the customer platform fee is 20 euros.
        • Cancellation fee is 50% of the bid amount which becomes 200 euros in this case. However, the upper limit is 150 euros for this cancellation so we deduct 150 euros
        • Refund amount is 420 – 20- 150= 250 euros
      • The customer cancels the job after the job has been started, then the matter will be taken through dispute resolution. Based upon the review of the situation, the customer may or may not get a refund.
      • The cancellation fee to the customer refund amount only applies if the customer cancels a job without a practical reason. If the reason of the cancellation is in any sense related to the expertise or ability of the Service Provider and Aricrypta finds this reason to be of solid grounds, then the customer may be eligible for a full refund.

How is my payment to the Service Provider protected?

Odlay Servcies asks you to make the payment before awarding the job to the Service Provider. However, the amount is only released to the Service Provider upon the job completion confirmation from the customer.

This grants a protection to both the customer and the Service Provider. While this ensures that the customer will not lose his payment if the job is not completed, this also grants a guarantee to the Service Provider that he will be paid upon the completion of the job.

Does Odlay Services perform any screening & monitoring of the Service Providers or their tasks?

Odlay Services does a basic screening to establish the identity of the users, and especially the Service Providers. Odlay Services relies mainly on the mobile verification of the users. Getting other verification means like identity card or business address verification is optional for the Service Providers. We may add verification badges to the Service Provider’s profile as they provide more data about themselves.

Odlay Services may screen the Service Provider to establish his/her identity. However, Service Providers are independent contractors or light/full time entrepreneurs. Aricrypta does not perform any screening for the qualification of the Serviec Providers to meet the requirements or expertise of the job.

Aricrypta or Odlay Services does not oversee, supervise, or monitor the scope, description, detail, pricing, status, progress, or performance of the contract, job, task, or project between the customer and service provider. What is the policy for losses & damages claims?

You use the Odlay Services platform at your own risk, the Odlay Services Platform is provided “as is” and without any warranties; Aricrypta Oy is not responsible for, and you release us from, any claims or losses resulting from your use of the Odlay Services Platform or a users’ conduct.

When two users of Odlay Services agree on the terms of the job and the job is awarded, then a contract is directly formed between the customer and the Service Provider.

Aricrypta oy or Odlay Services is not responsible for any loss, harm, or damage of any sort incurred because of any such interactions, dealings, or contracts. Aricrytpa and Odlay Services is not responsible for any and all claims (including but not limited to claims for property damage, personal injury, or death), demands, and damages of every kind or nature, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes. This includes, for example, and without limitation, any disputes regarding the performance, functions, and quality of the Expert Services provided to the Client by the Service Provider and requests for refunds based upon Payment Disputes.

What is the dispute resolution process?

Any interaction, dealing or contract between you and other users of Odlay Services platform, including without limitation, any project, job contract, service contract or any agreement is solely between you and the other party. Any problems, disputes, claims or disagreements due to any interaction, communication or contract must be resolved between you and the other relevant or applicable user. Aricrypta encourages all users to try and resolve disputes (including without any limitation, any payments, the release of payments, refunds claim for losses or any other claims) directly with the other relevant users.

Aricrypta may in good faith try to assist and resolve disputes between the two users of Odlay Services. Aricrypta may assign a member of its staff to investigate and resolve the dispute between the two users.  When a user is not happy with the ongoing progress of the job or there arises a dispute about the terms of the job, the user should first talk to the other applicable user and explain the situation and share as much detail as possible. It is always efficient, faster, and cheaper to resolve the dispute directly with the other user.

If the user is still not happy about the way a job has progressed or is progressing, he/she may raise a dispute about the job by clicking on the “File Complaint” button in the job manager. Both parties (the customer and service provider) must stop working further on the job until Aricrypta has acted on the dispute. Aricrypta will assign a member of its staff to review the dispute. Both parties will be asked to share as much detail as possible. After a careful review of the situation, Aricrypta will decide about the dispute.

If any of the users are not happy with the decision of Aricrypta, they may take the dispute to the local court at their own cost. Please remember that the dispute is between the two users and Aricrypta will not be a party to the dispute If it is taken to the court by any of the involved parties.  Aricrypta may however share all the available information to the court of law if asked.

Who is responsible for the Service Provider’s taxation & other obligations?

Service Provider is an independent contractor; Aricrypta Oy, Odlay Services platform, or its partner companies are not a temporary employment agency or an employer and therefore do not provide the Service Provider with employee benefits, workers’ compensation or withhold taxes from his/her fees. 

Service Provider only works as an independent contractor, entrepreneur, light entrepreneur, or independent business entity and takes care of his own bookkeeping, taxation, or other financial or business matters. Aricrypta or Odlay Services platform will not be responsible for the way Service Providers carry their business through the Odlay Services platform. Odlay Services only enables to connect Services Providers with customers and processes the payment of the tasks carried out through the Odlay Services platform

The Service Provider will be liable for any taxes, insurance & other necessary obligations required to be made or paid on the Tasks provided under the Agreement.
